 t\na Jewish issue\, it is a universal issue. We must learn from the past\,
  so that a more\ntolerant and just society will evolve for the betterment 
 of all human kind.\n\n”The March of the Living"event is joined every yea
 r by thousands of Jewish teens\, adults and\nsurvivors from around the wor
 ld\, along with many other people from diverse faiths\nand backgrounds.\n\
 nA key element of the program is the unique participation of Holocaust sur
 vivors. Hearing survivors’ stories in the very place where they unfolded
  is an experience of a lifetime and an opportunity to remember the past an
 d better ensure the future. &nbsp\;The years approaching are some of the l
 ast that survivors will be able to join us\, making participation in this 
 trip timely and more relevant than ever before.&nbsp\;\n\nAs Ellie Wiesel 
 once said: “When you listen to a witness\, you become a witness.” The\
 nparticipants will become the living testimony for future generations.&nbs
 p\;According to third party studies\, the long-term effect of the March of
  the Living program has&nbsp\;been significant in terms of its impact on b
 oth Jewish and universal values.&nbsp\;Participants return with a greater 
 commitment -- to Israel\, to remembering the Holocaust\, to strengthening 
 Jewish identity and practice\, and to becoming involved in their local Jew
 ish communities. These activities include assisting the homeless\, combatt
 ing genocide worldwide\, volunteering at home or abroad in various worthy 
 humanitarian efforts\, and working diligently to combat prejudice\, hatred
  of every kind as they support a message of respect and empathy.\n\nJoin u
