 ork of two Afghan artists\, Alibaba Awrang and Matin Malikzada\, who were 
 displaced by the Taliban's rise to power in 2021 and moved to Connecticut.
 \n\nThe opening celebration will be held at the Mattatuck Museum\, Waterbu
 ry. The public program will begin at 1:00 pm.\n\n“Uprooted – From Afgh

  first museum exhibition&nbsp\;since\nhis arrival in Litchfield County in 
 March\, 2021.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Please join with others to celebrate this wonde
 rful achievement.You will&nbsp\;be able to see Alibaba's beautiful and exp
 ressive&nbsp\;paintings\, along with the works of his fellow Afghan tradit
