 n Brian Carpenter to talk about "The Psychology of Aging" for our upcoming
  session.\n\nNo matter how old you are\, you're aging! &nbsp\;You started 
 aging from the moment you were born. &nbsp\;Professor Brian Carpenter will
  review what biological\, psychological and social research has taught us 
 about growing old. &nbsp\;Find out what's common with aging\, what's not n
 ormal and ey components of successful aging. &nbsp\;The trajectory of agin
 g gets shaped very early in life\, but there are forces that guide it alon
 g the way and steps you can take to maximize your later years.\n\nBrian Ca
 rpenter is a clinical psychologist\, Professor in the Department of Psycho
 logical &amp\; Brain Sciences and Faculty Lead for Educational Initiatives
  at the Harvey A Friedman Center for Aging at Washington University. His t
 eaching\, research and clinical interests focus on family relationships in
  later life\, with an emphasis on communication among older adults\, their
  family members and their healthcare providers\, particularly in the realm
 s of Alzheimer's disease and end-of-life care.\n\nDr Carpenter received a 
 B.A. form Williams College and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Cas
 e Western Reserve University. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at the
  Philadelphia Geriatric Center\, the University of Pennsylvania and the Po
 rtland Oregon VA Healthcare System.\n\nJoin us for what is sure to be anot
