 r first program.\n\nProfessor Joseph Luzzi will join us to present “The 
 Five Jewish Artists Who Changed the World.”\nJoseph Luzzi received his P
 HD from Yale University and is the Asher B. Edelman Professor of\nLiteratu
 re at Bard College\, where he also teaches courses on film and Italian stu
 dies. He is the\nauthor of five books that have won numerous awards. His e
 ssays and reviews have appeared in the\nNew York Times\, Los Angeles Times
 \, Chronicle of Higher Education\, Bookforum and American\nScholar.\n\nDr.
  Luzzi's scholarly writing has appeared in Modern Language Notes\, Modern 
 Language Quarterly\,\nRaritan and in various studies on Voltaire and the e
 ighteenth century.\n\nAmong his honors received are Dante Society of Ameri
 ca Essay and Yale College Teaching prizes\, as well as&nbsp\;\na National 
 Endowment for the Humanities Public Scholars award.\n\nProfessor Luzzi is 
 the founder of the VIrtual Book Club\, an international online community\n
 devoted to exploring some of the best books ever written.\n\nJoin us for w
