DESCRIPTION:This timely and important event is a collaboration between the 
 Jewish Federation of Western Ct.\, Temple B'nai Israel Southbury and the G
 reater Washington Coalition for Jewish Life. At this time we reflect upon 
 and honor the 75th anniversary of -- "when the small farming community of 
 Southbury bravely and with great determination successfully challenged and
  overcame a potential Nazi foray into western Ct."\n\nTo memorialize this 
 remarkable historic moment\, a film documentary was commissioned in 2012 b
 y a group of Southbury town leaders\, including then First Selectman Ed Ed
 elson\, &nbsp\;Rabbi Eric Polokoff of Temple B'nai Israel\, and Reverend S
 hannon Wall of South Britain Congregational Church . Rabbi Polokoff and Re
 verend Wall will introduce the films&nbsp\;"Home of the Brave" and "Honori
 ng the Brave"&nbsp\; and join a panel&nbsp\;discussion alongside Ed Edelso
 n\, Rabbi James Greene (GWCJL) and Gary Jones\, Executive Director of the 
 Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut.\n\nPlease join us for this speci
