In the history of the Holocaust, there are some fascinating stories circling the artwork of Europe. Our
time this month will focus on one such story and the historian's effort to uncover it. Historian Jonathan
Petropoulos investigates the life of Bruno Lohse and his role in the Nazi looting operation,
interviewing Lohse himself, as well as curators, art investigators, Lohse’s associates, and
descendants of the victims of Nazi art theft. “Plunderer” reveals the dark underbelly of the
international art world.
We will NOT be watching the film itself during our time together but will instead be watching an
interview facilitated by Moment Magazine on May 10th.
