Black History Month Community Program: Black-Jewish Relations and the Civil Rights Movement, A Film and Panel Discussion

When

February 21, 2021
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Black and Jewish communities have a history of powerful alliance dating back to well before the civil rights movement of the 1960’s. Jewish leaders marched arm in arm with Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. backing efforts of racial equality and harmony. A film and (Zoom) panel will be presented this weekend to discuss and honor this important story.

The film Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance is available free of charge, the link will be provided upon registration and viewing access is open between Friday, February 19 – Monday, February 22.

The Zoom panel discussion on Sunday evening will feature Clergy of different faiths and the film director/producer. Join us for this timely and special event!
