Shavuot is a holiday that celebrates the receiving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai, and the tradition is to eat dairy foods during the evening and stay awake and study late into the evening. The Coalition will gather for Shabbat and talk about what it means to receive revelations, how the Israelites experience receiving the Torah and how we continue to create new methods of Torah study. This evening will include some TikTok videos (no need to download the app), as well as other types of contemporary Torah.
