During April, we celebrate Israeli Memorial Day and Israeli Independence Day. These modern observances are an acknowledgement of our connection to Israel, and also a recognition of the impact that Israel has on the Jewish world. During our Shabbat service, we will share Israeli poetry and light a memorial candle for those who have died in defense of Israel.
