Speaker Series: Allison Stanger, “Where is Criminal Justice in the 21st Century?”

Our guest speaker Rachel Barkow began her career as a risk management analyst, then moved on to academia, focusing on Eastern European languages, foreign policy and political economy studies. She was the founding director and ran the the Rohatyn Center for Global Affairs at Middlebury College from 1999 until her resignation in 2012. Dr. Barkow’s current research focuses on the complicated relationship between technology, the law and politics. She is the Vice Dean and Segal Family Professor of Regulatory Law and Policy Faculty Director, Center on the Administration of Criminal Law, at NYU School of Law.

Author of “Prisoners of Politics: Breaking the Cycle of Mass Incarceration,” Dr. Barkow will be presenting on where criminal justice may and should be moving in the 21st century. Join us for looks to be a fascinating program!
